I promise I didn't mean to hold the lineart for this hostage for as long as I did. I just... didn't have the time/drive to break out the markers. For the entire schoolyear. Eep.
Anyway, yes, this lineart is, in fact, seven months old. There are parts that irritate the FUCK out of me, but I really do love this overall. Markers are just so wonderful, and even if this is pure and unadulterated safe zone for me in terms of color (except for her hair...) oh my god I love coloring. This needs to be cleaned up, but my Photoshop died and I have to reinstall it and in the meantime I had to scan into Preview, which has... limited capabilities xD. I'll fix it up later. I really didn't mean to channel Mucha or the eternal Madonna and Child theme, though the latter makes sense, as I did the pencils for this during the Medieval section of Western Civ. I especially like the fabric, skin, and moon.
...You've definitely waay improved at markering skin. And the fabric is all soft and flowy looking, all nice and smooth. More blended than the cloth/skin I've seen in earlier marker pieces you've done. And I like the soft blue reflections on her skin.

The moon came out absurdly well, given that my basic approach was: 'it's grey and I have lots of greys! also, bleaching with the %10' xD
Aaand yes. It's a combination of having EVEN MORE MARKERS NOW and also learning better ways to handle them. Upwards!
(I'm very proud of the blue on her skin, actually, because for a little bit it looked like I'd fucked everything up with that, but then everything dried and I hadn't. Yay!)
