Artist's Comments

I finally took a decent picture of this.

To those who've seen this before, the 'new' reddish tint is true to life - truer than the almost monochrome green palette from the previous scan. All dark and neutral tones were mixed (there is no black) and that often involved various shades of red. I feel that this true-to-life version has a lot more life than the previous, and as much - if not more - light.

This painting is two years old at this point. It was one of the first watercolors I completed. I know I've improved a lot in that time - but I'm still proud of this painting. It still makes me feel something.

I hope it can do the same for you.

That is really lovely. You want to follow the path amongst the trees. :) Great work!

You're right to be happy with this; it's good. At least, I think it is. For some reason, I like the way it has been greyed-down -- it gives it more of a sense of mystery and intrigue. Anyway, yes. Good stuff.

Gorgeousss...the textures of the bark and ground cover look so realistic.

Hey, this is amazing! I especially like the impression of spatial depth it gives and the contrast between the darker foreground and lighter and blurred background.
